On May 4-10, 2018, 23rd ICAMES (International Cultural and Academic Meeting of Engineering Students), organized by Engineering Society of Boğaziçi University, took place. Teams from Turkey, Egypt, Italy, Canada, Colombia, Bangladesh, Jordan and Macedonia participated in the event. 5 students (Tarlan Hasanli, Latif Guliyev, Huseyn Askerov, Beydulla Zeynalov and Alikram Hasanli) of the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, represented Khazar University in the event. The team was led by Nuru Safarov, Head of the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication, the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences.
ICAMES is an international engineering project competition. The only condition for participation in the competition is to submit a project in engineering which is designed by undergraduate students. This year’s topic of ICAMES was “Renewable energy”.
Khazar University team has joined this competition for the second time. The team made a presentation on “Piezoelectric Power harvesting” informing the participants about the application of the project and plans to be realized with regard to the project.
Moreover, some steps were taken to introduce Azerbaijan and Khazar University in the event. In “Culture night” part of the event, the team members presented Azerbaijani candies and beverages to the participants and enlightened them about Azerbaijan.
