On May 11, a conference entitled “National Leader Heydar Aliyev and Nagorno-Karabakh” dedicated to 95^th jubilee of National Leader, Heydar Aliyev, was held in the center for culture of Aghdam district on an organizational support of trade union of Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES).

Mehman Ismayilov, Chair of the trade union of MES, opened the conference with a historical and chronological view on Heydar Aliyev’s honorable and meaningful life. He also emphasized the importance of contributions by Heydar Aliyev during his 34 years when he led Azerbaijan.

Colonel Mirali Feyziyev, Head of the Karabakh Regional Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and Ragub Mammadov, Head of Aghdam District Executive Power, talked about how Heydar Aliyev strengthened statehood of Azerbaijan and did his best to reserve national and cultural wealth of Garabagh. Speakers also mentioned Heydar Aliyev’s indispensable service for resolutions of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

The ceremony continued with a concert program. Khazar University Chamber Orchestra performed compositions by Azerbaijani composers led by Zulfiyya Sadigova, Honored Artist and Head of the Department of Music and Fine Arts of Khazar University. The Orchestra was conducted by Javad Taghizadeh, a young musician. The soloists were Mashati Jabbarova and Atesh Garayev.
