On May 7, 2018, a literary and artistic evening entitled “Works by Hamlet Isakhanli” dedicated to Prof. Hamlet Isakhanli’s, the founder of Khazar University and Chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees, 70th anniversary was held at Istanbul Aydın University, in Istanbul city of Turkey, on an organizational support of EURAS, Istanbul Aydın University and Khazar University. Azer Zeynalov, Brilliant Dadashova, Gulyanag Mammadova - People's Artists; Sabina Verdiyeva, Gulshan Ibadova, and Atesh Garayev - Honored Artists, sang the songs composed to lyrics by Hamlet Isakhanli. The audience also welcomed the literary and artistic program organized by Elshad Rzayev, Arzu Omarova, Madina Karahan and Afag Gambarova - teachers of “Dunya” school.

The audience appreciated new songs by Jahangir Guluyev, a saz player, which are composed to the lyrics by Hamlet Isakhanli. Chamber Orchestra, led by Zulfiyya Sadigova, Head of the Department of Music and Fine Arts, also performed a concert program. Prof. Orhun Janpolat, Vice-dean of Istanbul Aydın University, invited Hamlet Isakhanli to the stage. He congratulated Hamlet Isakhanli on behalf of EURAS and Istanbul Aydın University and presented gifts to him. At the end of the ceremony, Hamlet Isakhanli expressed his gratitude to the guests and organizers, and recited his own poems. In the evening, a banquet was organized by Khazar University for the guests and participants. Scientists of Koç University, Istanbul Aydın University, Istanbul Yıldız Technical University, Kahramanmaraş Sütçüimam University, Istanbul University, and Marmara University participated in the reception, and congratulated and praised Hamlet Isakhanli.

Delegation participating in jubilee ceremony in Istanbul Aydın University were supposed to fly back to Baku via Ataturk Airport. However, due to some unknown reasons the flight was cancelled for some time. It was 10 p.m and everybody was tired. It was decided to demonstrate flash mob together with the members of Chamber Orchestra. “Arazbarı” by famous composer Uzeyir Hajibeyov performed by some members of Chamber Orchestra surrounded the airport. Passengers and airport staff applauded the flash mob loudly. The video of the flash mob went viral on the social network.
