On April 26, 2018, a seminar on “Career development in finance and accounting” was held on the initiative of Khazar University Psychology Center. The aim of the seminar was to enlighten the undergraduate students majoring in finance and accounting about the importance and methods of personal and professional development.

Ibrahim Osmanov, Business Development Manager of Headstart International company, gave students broad information on essential points in career development in finance and accounting as well as the importance of a personal development plan to become an expert with high competitiveness. He also talked about possible changes recommended for students studying national and international accounting and factors affecting the career perspective.

Elvin Ibrahimov, Quality Control Manager on ACCA of Headstart International company, held an interactive discussion with students on the importance of ACCA qualification for students wishing to build a career in finance and accounting. Besides, company employees enlightened students on modules of international qualifications which are important in terms of professional development.

ACCA, which has the historical background of more than 100 years, is considered high-level qualification for those building careers in finance and accounting. ACCA is recognized in 181 countries and has 486 thousand students and 200 thousand members.

Speakers also answered students’ questions and provided them with detailed information for a successful career in finance and accounting.
