On April 22, 2018, an international conference on “Turkey and Azerbaijan relations and Armenia problem” was held in Antwerp, Belgium, which was jointly organized by Belgian Turkish Cultural Center, UKİD, and the Fund of Aid for Youth. Scientist and public figures from Azerbaijan and Turkey participated in the conference. At the conference, Dr. Telman Guliyev, instructor of the Department of History and Archeology, delivered a report on “The massacre committed by Armenians in Azerbaijan and Eastern Anatolia in the late 19th and early 20th centuries”. Referring to Russian and Ottoman achieve materials, he provided the participants with broad information on massacres committed by “Armenakan”, “Khinjag” and “Dashnaktsutun” in Azerbaijan and Anatolia since 1890, and explained how imperialist powers used Armenian organization to achieve their political aims in the Ottoman region and Azerbaijan.
