On April 11, 2018, 21st Eurasian Economic Summit started in Istanbul, Turkey. 915 participants from 40 countries joined the Summit. Alovsat Amirbayli, Director for Public Relations and Media of Khazar University, participated in the Summit on behalf of Khazar University. On the first day of the Summit, a letter by Aziz Sanjar, a Nobel Laureate, addressed to Summit participants was read.

Heads of municipalities from Kosovo, Bulgaria, Turkey, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro delivered reports on about new systems of their municipalities. On the second day of the Summit, Alovsat Amirbayli was selected a member of secretary.
On the second day, Binali Yildirim, Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey, delivered a speech on a dangerous situation in Syria and in the world. Archbishop Bartholomew, Patriarch of Istanbul, and other religious leaders delivered speeches on the same topic. Abdullah Gul, former President of the Republic of Turkey, Marinka Gavara, former President of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ivo Josipovic and Stjepan Mesic, former Croatian presidents, Mustafa Akinji, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Valdis Zatlers, former President of Latvia, Gjorge Ivanov, President of Macedonia, Petru Luçinski, former President of Moldova, and Emil Constantinescu, former President of Romania, delivered interesting reports on recent accidents in the world. At the end of the Summit, participants approved a declaration addressed to the leaders of countries.
