On April 15, 2018, a research work “History of Azerbaijani Parliamentarism - 100” by Ziyad Amrahov, instructor of the Department of History and Archeology of Khazar University and PhD in History, was presented to readers. The research work is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Parliament of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic.
The book covers the following topics: struggle for independence of Azerbaijani intellectuals after division of Azerbaijan between the the Gajars and the Russian Empire; establishment of the first republic in Azerbaijan after the collapse of the Russian Empire; laws and regulations by the Parliament of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic; formal independence of the legislative body of Azerbaijan SSR after invasion of Azerbaijan; Temporary Revolutionary Committee in history of Azerbaijani Parliamentarism; Azerbaijan Soviet congresses; Central Executive Committee; activity of the Supreme Soviet of the Azerbaijan SSR and its laws and regulations. All the above mentioned topics were studied based on archive documents, press and historical literature. The research work is meant for experts in the history of Azerbaijan and history of International Relations as well as ordinary readers.
