On March 30, 2018, a seminar-training on “Economic and social aspects of migration: challenges and migration policy” was held at Khazar university, within Erasmus + “Promoting migration education at universities” project (PROMIG, 573554-EPP-1-2016-1-GE-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP), with the organizational support of School of Economics and Management, the Migration Competence Centre, and the Development Office. Trainers Dr. Oana Driha and Dr. Maria-Jemenez Delgado, from the University of Alicante, Spain delivered the training session on topics migration and economic development, social and cultural aspects of migration, migration and education. The training was attended by Dr. Nino Parsadanishvili, the coordinator of the project, representative of the Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University; students and staff of the Baku Engineering University; representatives of Sumgayit State University and Nakhchivan State University; students of ADA University; representative of the Azerbaijan State Migration Service and representatives of the International Organization for Migration and the students and staff members of Khazar University. Moreover, the aim of the seminar-training is to disseminate information on the above-mentioned issues among the universities of Azerbaijan.
At the end, the participants were presented certificates.
The Founder of Khazar University and Chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees received the guests from the University of Alicante and the Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and they discussed future collaboration among universities.
