Representatives of Jalilabad Poetry Club visited Lankaran office of Union of Azerbaijani Writers (UAW) on the occasion of International Poetry Day on March 22, 2018. Aghamir Javad, a representative of Lankaran office, UAW, greeted participants at the ceremony. Then Gardashkhan Azizkhanli, a lecturer at Khazar University, and the initiator of the idea “It is exceptional spring…”, talked about the aim of the ceremony. He also mentioned the importance of upcoming presidential elections, and anniversaries to be organized on the state level which should have a positive impact on the literary environment of the regions.

Talented poet Alizadeh Nuri, chairman of Jalilabad Poetry Club; Bilal Alarli, PhD in Philology and press secretary; Alirza Hasrat, Secretary on poetic issues; as well as the hosts - Gafar Jafarov, writer, Islam Rzayev, poet, and other participants - Bayalar Sadig, poet, and Alishir Shukurov, poet, talked about theoretical issues of poetry, and recited their new poems.

Then instructors of Lankaran Music School named after J.Jabbarly, Abulfaz Ahmadov, tar player, and Imanverdi Aghayev, singer, performed pieces of music.
