International students of Khazar University and a representative of the Department of International Relations participated at the ceremony organized in Ganja city by the Ministry of Education for the international students of higher educational institutions of Azerbaijan.
Firudin Gurbanov, Deputy Minister of Education, Elnur Rzayev, Deputy Head of Executive Power of Ganja city, public and media representatives, staff members of universities and international students participated at the ceremony. Elkhan Kasimov, assistant of Department of International Relations of Khazar University, as well as students from Zimbabwe and Nigeria represented Khazar University at the ceremony.
Firstly, participants saw a corner of Democratic Republic of Azerbaijan designed at Azerbaijan State Agricultural University. Later, Solmaz Rustamova-Tohidin, PhD in History and Associate Professor, delivered a lecture on “From national identity towards national statehood: a difficult way of independence” at the ceremony organized at Azerbaijan State Agricultural University. The lecture mainly dealt with history of the Democratic Republic of Azerbaijan.
After the ceremony, participants went sightseeing in Ganja city. International students visited Shah Abbas Mosque, Javad Khan Tomb, Chokak Hamam, Ganja State Philharmonic in Ganja. Students also paid a visit to the Nizami Mausoleum, and obtained broad information about the poet.
