On February 21, 2018, the representatives of Nazarbayev University (Kazakhstan) visited Khazar University.

The guests from Kazakhstan included Weng Tat Hui, Dean of Graduate School of Public Policy, and Yulia Kaufman, Marketing Manager. The participants from Khazar University were Dr. Hassan Niknafs, Rector, Prof. Mahammad Nuriyev, Vice-rector for Academic Affairs, Assoc. Prof. Irada Khalilova, Vice-rector for Research, and Gunay Farzaliyeva, Coordinator of International Affairs Office.

The collaboration opportunities on student exchange, establishment of double-degree programs and research were discussed during the meeting. It was agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding to establish future co-operation and joint work in the areas of common interest.

At the end of the meeting, promotional materials of both universities were exchanged.
