On February 1, Ilham Taghiyev and Milana Abbasova, PhD candidates of English Language and Literature Department of Khazar University, delivered research presentations on their research topics: “Experimental Research of Cognitive Properties of English Humor” and “Modern Tendencies in Sociolinguistic Approach to English Language Research”, both supervised by Prof. Sc.D. Fakhreddin Veysalli, respectively. 

The presentation was attended by Dr. Hassan Niknafs, the Rector of Khazar University, Dr. Mahammad Nuriyev, Vice-rector on Education, Dr. Irada Khalilova, Vice-rector on Research, Dr. Eldar Shahgaldiyev, Head of the Division of Graduate Studies and Research, and the staff of English Language and Literature Department. Both presentations were listened to with great interest by the participants. After the presentations there was a question and answer session where the presenters answered the questions of the participants.
