English Language and Literature department conducted two seminars on Research Methodology and English for Specific Purposes led by Dr. Kouhi, the young scholar on ESP research methodology from Maragheh Azad University, East Azerbaijan, on January 25, 2018. During the seminars, Data collection and Data Analysis and Modern Approaches to the teaching of ESP, were discussed in details. Dr. Kouhi gave some recommendations to the instructors involved in research. Dr. Hassan Niknafs spoke about the significance of the event.

All the instructors of English Language and Literature Department together with MA students (1^st and 2^nd years of Translation and Linguistics) took part in the seminars. The seminars were attended by the interested researchers from different universities as well. Certificates of participation were issued for the registered applicants of the two seminars.

Furthermore, Dr. Kouhi supervised some instructors who are currently involved in research activities.
