An article under the headline “Poet identity in citizenship lyric of Azerbaijan in the second half of XX century (based on the literary works by Mammad Araz, Sohrab Tahir AzarAzar and Mammad Ismayil)” by Gardashkhan Azizkhanli, a teacher of Department of the Azerbaijan language and literature of Khazar University, was published in “Literature journal” (2017, № 3, Volume XXXI) of Institute of Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi, Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences.
Based on literary works by Mammad Araz, Sohrab Tahir AzarAzar and Mammad Ismayil, the author scientifically considers direct impact of poet identity on poetic works. Moreover, analysing poetic works by the above-mentioned poets, the author stresses the role of these poets in the formation of a national consciousness in Azerbaijan. The author also comparatively introduces similar and distinctive features of these poets and comes to the conclusion that these poets helped Azerbaijan people, who are geographically-politically divided, reserve the national unity.
