On October 26, 2017, a presentation of books, bestowed to four universities of Azerbaijan including Khazar University by the Nippon Foundation, was held at ADA University.

Yohei Sasakawa, the Chairman of the Nippon Foundation, Teruyuki Katori, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Azerbaijan Republic, Hafiz Pashayev, the Rector of ADA University, Hamlet Isakhanli, the Founder of Khazar University and the Chief of the Board of Directors and Trustees participated in the presentation. Aytaj Misgarli, Head of the Khazar University Library-Information Centre and Samira Orujova, Head of the Cataloging Section were also among the participants.

Professor Hamlet Isakhanli talked about the history of the collaboration between Khazar University and the Nippon Foundation, about the two projects implemented, his visit to Japan, and the books presented.
