It should be noted that “Young psychologists” Public Union, registered by the Ministry of Justice of Azerbaijan Republic on October 14, 2015, is an official representative of European Federation of Psychology Students’ Associations. The main aim of the Union is to develop young professionals, who love their motherland, who are loyal to their country, possess secular values and knowledge in order to fill the gap in the development of psychologists in Azerbaijan, and to provide and organize a single activity in the field of mental health of society.
European Federation of Psychology Students’ Associations (EFPSA) was established in 1987, in Portugal. EFPSA is a common European organisation which covers 33 countries and 11.000 young psychologists. The essential purpose of the organization is to implement scientific, experimental and cultural exchanges among young psychologists by creating a network. Azerbaijan is the only country among the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) countries which is represented in this organization.
One of the activities of EFPSA is to implement an exchange program among young psychologists from the member countries. An exchange program was organized among Azerbaijani and Turkish young psychologists for the first time in October of this year. Khazar University is the academic partner of this program from Azerbaijan.
According to the program, 18 students majoring in Psychology from different Turkish universities will attend the lectures in Psychology at Khazar University within the framework of the exchange program on October 8 - 17, 2017.
Istanbul Ishik University is the Academic partner of this exchange program from Turkey. Later, on October 22-28, Azerbaijani students majoring in psychology will visit Turkey.
