On August 17, 2017, a response by Professor Hamlet Isakhanli, the founder of Khazar University, Chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees, to the inteview of Sherg.az  was released in the analytical article "Someone wants to be a doctor and someone wants to be a lawyer " which was published in regard to the abiturients who were not admitted to higher education institutions despite having a high score, on the website of "Sharq" newspaper, the daily social-political publication. 

Professor said that the reason for such a situation was that the applicants were interested in having only one qualification, and if they wrote the different specialties in the second stage, they would definitely be admitted.
