On April 27,  gala concert of  “Student Spring” student arts festival  was held and the winners were announced in Azerbaijan State Musical Theater organized by The Ministry of Youth and Sports in cooperation with the Azerbaijan Student Youth Organizations' Union.

The qualifying round where more than 20 high educational institutions and more 800 students participated was held on the 3-6th of April. Azad Rehimov,the Minister of Sports and Youth delivered a speech emphasizing the importance of the event for discovering new talents each year and expressed his gratitude to jury and the participiants.

Under the leadership of the Department of Music and Fine Arts, Khazar University’s music groups always participated and were among the winners in the event held for the 10th time. In this year’s festival Univeristy’s girls’ dance group (instructor Sabina Ismayilova) won the first place in the nomination “Modern Dances”, boys’ dance group (instructor Honoured Artist Telman Aliyev) won the second place in the nomination “National Dances”. The winners were awarded diplomas.

Professor Hamlet Isakhanli, the founder of Khazar University and Chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees,  and Advisor to the Chairman of the Board of Directors and Trustees, Nailakhanim Isayeva, co-founder of Khazar University's affiliate Dunya School and Advisor to the Board of Directors and Trustees  also participated in the event.
