On April 10-13, 2017, Ziyad Amrahov, PhD in History, Head of  the Division of Armenian Studies in the Caucasian Studies Institute of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences , instructor of the Department of History and Archeology of Khazar University, delivered a presentation on “Historical research methods and types” at the international symposium entitled "The history and historiography". The symposium, dedicated to the memory of Professor Halil Inalcik, was coordinated at Gazi University, Turkey in joint cooperation with Prime Ministry Higher Institution of Ataturk Culture, Language and History, Turkish Historical Society and Gazi University.

At the end of his presentation Z. Amrahov emphasised that historical research stages are  closely connected and reftect research practice of the historian. Then he answered related questions of the participants.
