On April 17, 2017 international conference ,entitled  "National and Cultural Identity in the Post-Soviet Azerbaijan" was held at Baku Slavic University.Professor Hamlet Isaxanli, the founder of Khazar University and chairman of its  Board of Directors and Trustees also took part in opening and plenary sessions of the conference. Professor Hamlet Isakhanli conducted the panel after a break and made a presentation on "Historical Stages of the National Identity of Azerbaijan".
