On April 14, 2017 a meeting with an outstanding tar player, world tar legend, People's Artist, Professor Ramiz Guliyev took place at Khazar University Dunya concert hall. It was dedicated to the artist’s 70th jubilee under the scope of the project “Face-to-Face” realized by Khazar University.

At the beginning of the event, music expert Nargiz Karimova spoke about the artist’s life and musical activity. Then People's Artist Ramiz Guliyev was invited to the stage and the concert began. There were performed works of Gara Garayev, Tofig Guliyev, Gambar Huseynli, Vasif Adigozalov, Sardar Farajov and as well Anton Rubensteyn, Franz Schubert, Vittorio Monti and Mikis Teodorakisin accompanied by Khazar University Chamber Orchestra. 

A film about the famous tar player was presented as well. The director of Music College after Asaf Zeynalli, honored worker of art, Nazim Kazimov, the head of the Music and Fine Arts Department at Khazar University, pianist, professor Zulfiyya Sadigova, the Secretary of the Composers' Union, honored art worker, Sardar Farajov and the founder of Khazar University and chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees, Professor Hamlet Isakhanli made speeches at the concert.

N. Kazimov spoke about the characteristics of Ramiz Guliyev’s art life. Zulfiyya Sadigova shared her memories connected with Ramiz Guliyev and recalled the art event honoring the artist’s 55th jubilee organized by her fifteen years ago and presented the footage of the event. S. Farajov described Ramiz Guliyev as the follower of Uzeyir Hajibeyli’s music tradition. Hamlet Isakhanli mentioned Ramiz Guliyev’s incredible performance had always been highly appreciated in Azerbaijan and abroad.

The speakers congratulated the prominent artist on his 70th jubilee, wished him new achievements, and presented with congratulatory letters and flowers.

In the end, People's Artist Ramiz Guliyev took the floor and expressed gratitude to the university authority for the organization and all the audience present.
