On April 11, 2017, Gala concert for the Cultural Festival of Sumgayit school children was held in Sumgayit State Drama Theater with the coordination of Executive Power of Sumgayit City, Sumgayit Regional Department of Culture, Sumgait City Department of Education and Khazar University's affiliate Dunya School's Sumgayit branch.

Professor Hamlet Isaxanli, the founder of Khazar University and Chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees, and Teymur Samedov,  Deputy Head of Sumgayit City Executive Power, welcomed the participants of the concert and emphasized that Cultural Festival of Sumgayit school children is an important event in the life of the people of Sumgayit. Then they congratulated the 1st place winners of the festival and awarded them with valuable prizes.

 Nailakhanim Isayeva, founder of Dunya School; Alovsat Amirbeyli, Director for Public Relations and Media; Mehman Shukurov, Head of Sumgayit Regional Department of Culture; Nizami Namazov, Head of Sumgayit City Department of Education; Marufe Madatli, Dunya School Director, and Munavar Bayramli, Dunya School's Sumgayit branch director awared the 2nd and 3r place winners with certificates and prizes.

At the end of the event the winners introduced interesting performances.

Executive Power of Sumgayit City decided to hold Culture Festival every year.
