Chemical Engineering is the field that plays a crucial role in transforming raw material into useful products-and not just necessities like food, water, and clothing, but petroleum, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, cheap drugs, biotechnology, electronic materials, nuclear industry, polymers, composites, and coatings, etc. In addition chemical engineers rapidly meeting new challenges in novel engineering topics such as nanotechnology, biotechnology, and environmental protection. Khazar Chemical Engineering Department offers Bachelor of Engineering, Masters of Science, and PhD degrees in Chemical Engineering, to prepare students for careers in industry and research, product discovery and development, plant design and operation, as well as management. Our Department is committed to fully developing students’ potential by providing stimulating learning and research environment, exposing students to a diversity of viewpoints and teaching/learning styles, and preparing students to work in teams to solve real-world and multidisciplinary problems.
Chemistry is the study of matter, its properties, how and why substances combine or separate to form other substances, and how substances interact with energy. It is a broad scientific field, and its relevance is seen in almost every aspect of society. Chemistry plays a major role in environmental processes, pharmaceutical advances, food industry, forensic science, and modern agriculture as well as in nanotechnology and nanomedicine.
Khazar Chemistry Department offers several Chemistry courses for the students of Chemical Engendering and Education department, to prepare creative and highly knowledgeable students for careers in teaching, academy as well as in industry and research.
