On May 29, a special event will emanate from Khazar University's campus in Neftchilar. Six experienced educators will present and later participate in a panel discussion at "English Teachers' Symposium 2025." This gathering, meant to be the first in an annual series put on by Khazar University, pools the expertise of authorities on an aspect of English instruction, for the benefit of Azerbaijani teachers.
This year's theme is "Teaching English in a Non-Native Environment: Language Enrichment, Not Language Replacement." In short, it champions the idea that the command of one language should be used to strengthen the command of another, and a bevy of practical pointers on how to turn this vision into reality will be offered. The six presenters hail from four countries, so their perspectives promise to be international, in flavor as well as applicability. Among those presenting will be three English Language Fellows, Americans abroad, under the auspices of the United States Department of State, to share U.S. best practices in education. The attendees will be free to pose questions to the six experts during the closing panel discussion.
Attendees will, moreover, receive certificates to verify their participation at Khazar University's "English Teachers' Symposium 2025."
