This Club provides students with additional opportunities to practice and improve their academic writing skills, mainly in Azerbaijani and English. The Club organizes workshops, training sessions and practical writing activities where students can develop academic writing skills, including:

• essay structure
• stylistics
• paragraph development
• thesis statement writing
• argumentation
• academic vocabulary
• citation and referencing
• paraphrasing
• summarizing
• avoiding plagiarism
• responsible use of AI.

The Club also creates a platform for students to share their written work, receive feedback and learn from one another.

Also, at the end of each term, the Club organizes an essay competition to motivate students to apply the skills they have learned and demonstrate their progress in academic writing.

Previous experience shows that the activities of the Club have significantly improved students’ academic writing skills, particularly in organizing ideas, developing arguments, using academic language, and applying referencing rules correctly.
