On December 5-7, 2016, a kickoff meeting for the “Advocacy Establishment for Students through Ombudsman Position (AESOP)” Erasmus + project was held at Akaki Tsereteli State University in Kutaisi, Georgia.
Raziya Isayeva, Development Director of Khazar University; Rima Mammadova, project manager for the university and coordinator of the Center for Students with Disabilities; and Martha Lawry, English Editor, represented Khazar University in the meetings and made prsentations about the project.
Khazar University won a grant for the “AESOP: Advocacy Establishment for Students through Ombudsman Position” through the Erasmus+ program in 2015. Due to problems that arose in legislation related to the project in the same year, the project was unable to be registered in Azerbaijan, and it was transferred to Akaki Tsereteli State University in Georgia for coordination.
