On November 7, 2024, an event titled "COP29 and the Role of Youth" was organized through the collaboration of Khazar University's Education Department and Sumgayit "Dunya" School.

The event aimed to raise awareness among young people about climate change, food security, and the significance of hosting COP29 in Azerbaijan.

Discussions were held with students on current topics such as COP29 and the role of youth, climate activism, climate change, and food security, with the participation of Khuraman Naghizadeh, deputy director of Sumgayit "Dunya" School, and Konul Jalilova, instructor at Khazar University.

During the presentations, special emphasis was placed on the importance of organizing COP29 for Azerbaijan and the world in general. The event, which featured active discussions, concluded with a Q&A session addressing the youth’s questions.
