On November 18, as part of COP29 held in Baku, QS Quacquarelli Symonds, one of the world's most influential ranking organizations, announced the "QS World University Rankings: Sustainability 2025" results. Seven higher education institutions from Azerbaijan were represented in the rankings. Among private universities in Azerbaijan, only Khazar University was included in the list, ranking in the 1500+ category.
The event was organized with the collaboration of the Ministry of Science and Education, the State Agency for Science and Higher Education, and QS Quacquarelli Symonds, with the participation of their leadership. Rectors of higher education institutions, including the Rector of Khazar University, Assoc. Prof. Irada Khalilova, participated in the event.
In the rankings, which included 1,751 universities from 107 countries, Khazar University achieved high results due to its contributions to research, social projects, and sustainable development goals. Khazar University stood out for its excellence in international collaboration and active participation in faculty and student exchange programs.
At the event, higher education institutions included in the ranking were awarded certificates by the QS leadership.
