Shahnaz Amanova, the lecturer ay Khazar University's Department of Geography and Environment, attended an event in Lankaran on February 11, 2022, on the establishment of Hirkan National Park.

The event was opened by Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan Vugar Karimov. The main purpose of the event, which was attended by representatives of various organizations, was to raise awareness about the inclusion of Hirkan National Park, which received the status of National Park in 2004, in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
