Article by Gahraman Yusupov, the lecturer of the Department of Economics and Management entitled “Mechanism of transformation of the border region into a tourism destination" was published in the 3^rd issue of «Bulletin of КазНУ. Economic series» Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in 2021.

The article substantiates the role of tourism in the socio-economic development of the regions, the importance of cross-border tourism for countries and studies ways to turn the border region into a tourism destination.
