On June 10, 2021, the Baku office of OSTIM Technical University, one of the largest industrial universities in Turkey and the world, was opened.

The event was attended by the rector of the university Murat Yulek, the managerial staff of Azerbaijan Technical University and Khazar University, MP Razi Nurullayev and other public figures. Khazar University was represented by Alovsat Amirbeyli, Director of Public Relations and Media.

After welcoming the guests with an opening speech, the director of the Baku office of OSTİM Technical University Fuad Hajiyev informed the rector of the university Murat Yulek about the educational institution and spoke about joint programs: “We want Azerbaijani youth to develop themselves in the field of engineering and contribute to the fraternal relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey. To this end, we are trying to expand the opportunities for Azerbaijani youth to study in Turkey. We are pleased to cooperate with the Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan and other agencies”. 

It was noted that a joint diploma program agreement was signed between Azerbaijan Technical University and OSTIM Technical University. 

According to Fuad Hajiyev, the university has reduced the tuition fee for all Azerbaijani students by 85%. He also mentioned that although the tuition fee for foreigners is $ 15,000, it is only $ 2,000 for Azerbaijanis. 

OSTIM Technical University offers education in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (English), Computer Engineering (Turkish and English), Mechanical Engineering (English), Programming Engineering (Turkish), Industrial Engineering (Turkish), Industrial Product Design (Turkish), Interior Architecture and Environmental Design (Turkish), Information Systems Management (Turkish), International Trade and Finance (English), Economics (English).
