On February 26, 2021, Khazar University Teaching and Learning Center hosted the next virtual research seminar for master and doctoral students, academic staff, and researchers. The seminar was presented by Dr. Elena de la Poza, staff member of the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV), on “Promoting Sustainability in Higher Education: Sustainable Development Goals”.
Concerns about sustainability in higher education have been increasing since the adoption of the “Sustainable Development Goals 2030” in 2015, which was adopted by the United Nations as a universal call for action. Various efforts are being made to achieve the goals of sustainable development in higher education institutions, as well as the performance of universities is being evaluated gradually.
The work done on the goals of sustainable development in higher education in universities of different regions around the world and its results were presented to the seminar participants by Dr. Elena de la Poza and her research team.
The participants showed great interest on the seminar and it was ended with the discussion session.
