Khazar University Rector at the Chinese New Year event on the lunar calendar

On February 9, 2021, the Confucius Institute of BSU hosted distant Chinese New Year event on the lunar (Eastern) calendar. The event was attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of China to the Republic of Azerbaijan Guo Min, BSU Vice-Rector for International Relations Shahin Panahov, Rector of Khazar University Irada Khalilova, Head of the Azerbaijani Language Department of Beijing University of Foreign Languages Agshin Aliyev and other guests.

After presenting a video about China at the event, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of China to the Republic of Azerbaijan Guo Min made a congratulatory speech. The ambassador congratulated the participants on the Chinese New Year and wished them good health and success in their work. Students of the Confucius Institute performed songs and dances in Chinese following other speeches.
