Department of English Language and Literature of Khazar University conducted MA Thesis Defence on December 18, 2020, at 12:00 p.m. on Microsoft Teams platform. MA students Shahla Bakhishova “Pragmatic Aspects of Irony in American Political Discourse”; Shahlakhanim Mammadova “The Effects of Using the Grammar Translation Method in IDP Schools of Azerbaijan”; Turaj Farajova “The role of Culture Specific Items on the translation of Azerbaijani Proverbs into the English Language” successfully defended their dissertation works for earning the degree of MA in linguistics. The head of the department Dr Bahman Amani, the research coordinator of the department PhD can. Milana Abbasova, the committee members and MA students took part in the Open Defence.
