On December 18, 2020, Khazar University hosted a webinar entitled “Europeanization of judiciary systems via Mediation services”. The webinar was held within the Mediation Enlightenment Week activities of the Erasmus+ MEDIATS Project (Project number 599010-EPP-1-2018-1-NL-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP) and conducted by Dr. Elmar Mustafayev.

The webinar discussed the recently passed law on Mediation and the promised improvements in the judicial system of Azerbaijan. Furthermore, the webinar touched upon the guidelines and recommendations of the Council of Europe European Commission for the efficiency of justice (CEPEJ) and argued whether the law is in compliance with European practice.

The webinar was followed by a Q&A session.
