On December 16, 2020, QS published an annual ranking of the best universities in Emerging Europe and Central Asia (EECA) evaluating each university on 10 indicators.

Top 400 universities out of 29 EECA countries have been included to the list.

Khazar University performed among top 60% in the QS EECA University Rankings 2021.

Compared to previous QS University rankings, 7 universities from Azerbaijan were included to this edition. According to the results of the ranking, Khazar University was placed in 241-250 tier.
