On December 19, 2019, an event entitled “Do not Be Addicted, Be Free!” was jointly organized by TIKA, the Public Association Against Harmful Habits, Turkey’s “Yeşilay” Association, Khazar University Center for Psychological Service and the Center for Modern Psychology. The main purpose of the event was to educate students about the types of addiction, to create awareness on how to fight addiction and how to protect themselves.
The organizer of the event, psychologist Melek Karimova emphasized the importance of the issue for our country, noting the responsible and sensitive behavior of every citizen in the formation of a healthy generation and clean environment.
Rector of Khazar University Associate Professor Irada Khalilova welcomed the guests and noted the significance of the topic.
Dr. Hakan Choshkunol, Professor of Psychiatry at Ege University, Kemal Altin, Speaker of Turkey’s “Yeşilay” Association, Zaur Orujov, Chairman of the Public Association Against Harmful Habits, Aida Nabiyeva, Head of the Center for Modern Psychology, delivered their speeches at the event.
