On November 26, 2019, European Commission’s institutional monitoring have been held at Khazar University. Institutional monitoring is commissioned by the representatives from European Commission and National Erasmus office. In the first half of the day, representatives met with the University’s Leadership, held the discussions on the projects and then project monitoring took place.
It is worth mentioning that during the monitoring time there was a general overview of all projects which were coordinated by Khazar University and the projects which Khazar University attended as a partner university. Project managers provided information about the outcomes and the impacts of the finished projects, as well as the expected outcomes and impacts about the on-going projects. The centres and the equipments which were formed and bought by the help of the projects were monitored as well.
Additionally, representatives from European Commission and National Erasmus Office had a meeting with the University Leadership and with representatives of some of the university offices and centers to discuss future cooperation. The meeting with the Financial Department took place and the financial processes of the Erasmus+ projects were successfully monitored. During the special meeting with the International office, representatives discussed the general situation of international students at Khazar University and the exchange programs.
Institutional Monitoring continued on the 27th of November, 2019. In the first half of the day, the last projects were presented by project managers and discussed with the representatives from European Commission and National Erasmus office.
Then the visitors met with both international and national students as well as the teachers who have previously attended the exchange programs and heard about their experiences and discussed the things that need further improvement.
In the second half of the day, representatives have visited the centres, offices, research institutes which were co-founded by Erasmus+ projects and gained information about their sustainability.
At the end of the day, visitors from European Commission and National Erasmus office expressed their gratitude to the administrative staff of Khazar University for their two-day hospitality and provided their positive feedbacks on the monitoring.
