Khazar University director of development Raziya Isayeva, who is also ERASMUS+ Higher Education Reform Expert for Azerbaijan has participated in a study visit to Vrije University of Brussels, Belgium to have an insight of how social inclusion is imbedded in an internationalization strategy of Flemish Universities. The meeting involved speeches by key people of University of Gent, University of Antwerp and Vrije University of Brussels specifically about their internationalization strategies and how social inclusion has affected student mobility, data collection, and policy reforms.
Ms. Irene Sabio Gallego, Policy officer for industrialized Countries, International Cooperation Unit of European Commission delivered a speech on how the KA1 programme within ERASMUS+ has changed and what factors of social inclusion it now encompasses. The visitors coming from more than 12 countries of Eastern Neighbourhood and Middles East and Balkans discussed issues and challenges of mobility programmes and how the mobility of students so far included social inclusion. Many future features of International Credit Mobility programme have been discussed with a hope that Higher Education Reform Experts representing different countries will act as advocates of this important feature which provides equality, equity and access for all.
