On November 19, 2019, a number of local websites reported that Professor Afgan Abdullayev, former employee of Khazar University, Vice-Rector of ASU, was appointed as the Head of Science Division of the Department of Science, Higher and Secondary Special Education at the Ministry of Education.

The biography of the Professor also shows that during the period from 1992 to 1995 he worked as an English teacher at Khazar University, advisor to the Rector, Head of the English Department, and Dean of the School of Humanities.
