On November 7 and 11, 2019, Khazar University Robotics Team named as "Chicken Doner" consisting of Tamerlan Abdullayev, Tugay Abdullazade and Samad Jabbarli, students majoring in Computer Engineering, Computer Science in School of Science and Engineering, represented Azerbaijan in the competition which took place in the Hungary Gyor, competing against teams from 66 countries. At the end of a four-day contest, “Chicken Doner” succeeded in holding 33th place among 83 teams, surpassing United States of America, South Korea, India, Thailand, China, countries well-known for innovations in robotics. The team was led by Emin Bayramov, a fourth-year student studying Computer Engineering of the School of Science and Engineering
On June 4-7, 2019, Azerbaijan III Robotics Olympiad in 4 categories with the participation of 65 teams from 25 educational institutions was held in Haydar Aliyev Center with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sport of the Republic of Azerbaijan and organizational initiative of Azerbaijan Robotics Engineering Academy and "Education, Training, Profession and Development Center of Youth" Public
Union. In the Olympiad, the robotics team of Khazar University named as "Chicken Doner" won the first place and was entitled the right to represent Azerbaijan in the World Finals in the Hungary, Gyor.
