On November 13, 2019, Associate Professor Sabuhi Ahmadov, teacher at the Department of History and Archeology, Khazar University, Doctor of Historical Sciences, was elected an honorary member of the Georgian Military History Society. In the membership diploma presented by Mamuka Gogitidze, the Chairman of the Society, and Giorgi Bejitashvili, Deputy Chairman, S. Akhmedov's efforts in strengthening the Azerbaijani-Georgian friendly relations were particularly highlighted.

S. Akhmedov, being an author of a number of publications dedicated to the military history and development of Azerbaijan, is also the author of articles devoted to the study of the life and activities of representatives of other nations who worked with Azerbaijanians in the formation of the national military units of Azerbaijan in the early 19^th and 20^th centuries.
