An article on “The Meaning of the Truth” by Dr. Anar Jafarov, a full-time lecturer in the Department of Political Sciences and Philosophy at Khazar University, has been published on the website of Baku Research Institute. In this paper, the author focuses on the problem that “truth” (“həqiqət”) as an ambiguous term creates for its philosophical use. Moreover, on the basis of “truth” as an example, the author tries to show that there is no satisfactory convention concerning the meaning of central philosophical terms among Azerbaijani philosophers, and that, in some cases, the meaning of those terms do not coincide with the meaning of corresponding terms used in the well-known foreign philosophical publications.
