From October 9 to 11, 2019, being a part of the BES-NET initiative, Central Asia Regional Trialogue on “Land Degradation, Biodiversity and Climate Change” was held in Almaty, Kazakhstan, jointly organized by the UN and IPBES. Representatives from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan attended the Trialogue. The Azerbaijani delegation was represented by the UN Office in Azerbaijan, the National Assembly, Khazar University (Rovshan Abbasov and Gunay Karimova), Azerbaijan Agrarian University, the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Economy, the WWF Azerbaijan Office, the Ismaili Beekeepers Association, and the REC Azerbaijan NGO.
