The first initiative to compile an archaeological dictionary in Azerbaijani science is the book entitled “Archeological Dictionary”, by Tarikh Dostiyev, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of “Azerbaijan Archeology” Journal, by Khazar University, has been published at the “Elm & Tehsil” Publishing Polygraphy house. The scientific editor of the book is Professor Gudrat Ismaylizada, Doctor of Historical Sciences.

The dictionary describes key concepts and terms used in archeological science, characterizes archaeological periods, and gives concise and at the same time important information on archaeological cultures and monuments.

The book is intended for professionals, as well as readers interested in the great history of the past.
