On June 18, 2019, the Opening Ceremony of “City Art. Azerbaijan” Project partnered with Khazar University, was held. The event was attended by following participants, selected on the interview basis: Alovsat Amirbeyli, Director for Public Relations and Media at Khazar University, Roza Arazova, Head of Department of History and Archeology at Khazar University, Academician Nargiz Akhundova, Acting Member of ANAS, Academician-Secretary of Social Sciences Department, Nargiz Khalaf, Secretary and Member of the Council on State Support to NGOs under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The event was opened by Orkhan Zamanov, the staff member of the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography of ANAS and the Department of History and Archeology at Khazar University and the author of the project, who delivered a comprehensive talk about the application of the idea of patriotism in the City Art. Following that, official guests made speeches at the event, and finally, engineer-inventor Ilgar Hasanalizade gave the participants a training seminar called "Weapons and Art".
