Khazar Air Quality Lab, established in June 2019, has monitored air quality in Baku and some suburban settlements. Sampling results were assessed by the European Air Quality Index with a five-point scale.

1-Very good, 2-Good, 3-Medium, 4-Poor, 5-Very bad

The results were as follows:

4. Nearby “N.Narimanov” metro station-4
5. Nearby “Ganjlik” metro station-5
6.  Nearby “28 May” metro station-4
7. Nearby “Sahil” metro station-5
8. Nearby “Icherisheher” metro station-4
9. Nearby “Nizami” metro station-5
10. Nearby “20 January” metro station-5
11. Nearby “Memar Ajami” metro station-5
12. Nearby “Khatai” metro station-4
13. Nearby Khirdalan city-4
14. Nearby Buzovna settlement-1

It should be noted that pollution with Nitrogen-2-Oxide nearby “Neftchilar”, “Ganjlik”, “Nizami”, “20 January” and “Memar Ajami” metro stations was 4-5 times above the norm. The best air quality was recorded in Buzovna settlement, and the worst air quality was recorded nearby “Neftchilar” and “Koroglu” metro stations.
