On the occasion of 101^st anniversary of the Republic of Azerbaijan, a book by Doctor Nasiman Yagublu, the teacher of Khazar University, entitled “The Poles in Azerbaijan” was published. The book published with the support of the Polish embassy in Azerbaijan, will have a wide presentation session soon.

The book explores the activity of Poles that lived in Azerbaijan from three perspectives: 1) Polish services in oil industry development; 2) Polish work in the city's architecture; 3) The role of the Poles during the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic.

At the same time, the work of the Polish specialists, who played a significant role in the modernization of Baku and the founding of the legal system, was presented in the book with reference to the archive documents. The book contains a large number of photographs and archival documents related to the activity of the Poles. From the materials in this book it is possible to learn about the activities of famous architects Y.Goslavsky, Y.Ploshko, L.Kričinsky, O.Kričinski, M.Sulkevič and others who worked during the period of the Republic.
