On May 27, 2019, a roundtable on “Problems of returning to origins in Ismail Shikhli's works” was organized by the Department of Languages and Literatures.

Associate Professor Matsi Osmanoglu at the Department of History of Azerbaijan Literature of Baku State University, Associate Professor Elza Samadli, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences, Associate Professor Vurgun Eyyub, Head of the Languages and Literature Department, Associate Professor Dilbar Zeynalova, instructor at the Department of Languages and Literatures, Khazar University, and students attended the event.

Following that with the lectures of Dr. Mati Osmanoglu and Associate Professor Dilbar Zeynalova, the roundtable continued its work
