On April 27, 2019, the semi-finals stage of the “Nationwide Olympiad on Informatics among Higher Education Students” was held at the Baku Engineering University, jointly organized by the Ministry of Transport, Communication and High Technologies, Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Ministry of Education and the Institute of Information Technologies of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences. The team consisting of students from the School of Science and Engineering, representing Khazar University (Mansur Gulami, Ilgar Huseynli and Asaf Novruzov) qualified for the final stage of the Olympiad.

The final stage of the Olympiad will be held on May 4, 2019 at the Institute of Information Technologies of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences.

Winners (I-IV places) will be awarded with valuable prizes from “Azercell” operator and “BestComp Group”, as well as certificates of honor and diplomas to be presented by the Ministry of Transport, Communication and High Technologies.
